The movie's storyline revolves around an 18-year-old teenager who has the ability to see and talk to animals, especially birds. He uses his skills at a circus where he works until one day, he realizes that his best friend is actually the clown that the circus was using as its act. He tries to save his friend's life but something goes wrong and he ends up killing him instead. The storyline then jumps forward two decades later when the protagonist is now working as a trapeze artist in Niagara Falls. Despite being able to communicate with animals, he still struggles with living an unhappy life because of what happened 20 years ago. Eventually he meets up with his old friend's daughter who's trying to get her father's old toy of the same name (which was changed to "Rascal") back. Despite failing to get it back, the protagonist still saves her along with the rest of the circus crew by using his animal communication skills. The movie was released on October 8, 2013 in Malaysia under Viva Pictures Sdn Bhd. The movie is about a boy named Martin who has an extraordinary talent which allows him the ability to communicate with animals when there are no humans around. His best friend is a chimpanzee, Toto, whom he nicknames "Rascal", and two falcons, Frankie and Spikey. These three animals are the only ones who know his secret. Martin works at a circus with its ringmaster, Snake Herring, and learns that the chimpanzees on stage during the magic show are not performing voluntarily. As he is also furious about seeing how they're treated, he decides to free them on his own after work one day. He builds a parachute out of laundry and lets one chimpanzee named Tom go by holding onto him as he jumps off of a thirty-meter (100 ft) high cliff and lands safely in a tree below. Tom escapes and Martin learns that he has gone to the small village of Wentworth, some distance away. Martin follows Tom's footsteps, hoping to get him back together with Rascal. However, before he can do so, he is knocked down by the circus' badger act and briefly becomes their new performer for that night. When Martin gets back on his feet during the show (which Snake Herring calls "made up of real animals"), Tom is nowhere to be found. Martin goes back to Wentworth with Spikey, Frankie and Rascal in tow. They go out for a walk every night while waiting for the animals' return. The next day, Martin teaches Spikey to fly. Meanwhile, the badgers arrive in Wentworth, bringing Tom with them. Enraged, Spikey pecks out the badgers' eyes and they flee. While Martin is preparing breakfast for Rascal, Tom appears and tells him that he was forced to work at the circus against his will after their owners died.
